With reference to Admiralty Letter dated 27th.

April, 1915, D.5356/15 relative to communications with Stonecutters

Island, report whether the same lines can be used for both tele-

-graphic and telephonic work as suggested in para. 2 if not whether

proposals indicated in your letter dated 25th. March, 1915, No. 80

to His Excellency the Governor and Commander-in-Chief Hongkong are

considered necessary for provision of telegraphic communication

with Stonecutters Island.
